Hearing aids alone do not make listening easier in all situations. Background noise, distance, reverberation, and echo can all interfere with listening.

FM Systems are especially important in schools for a hearing loss child to listen better in noisy and reverberant classrooms. FM systems can also be worn at home, this gives both the child and parents an opportunity for active interactions and keeps the listening distance close no matter what the child is doing.

The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Wales donated 35 Radio FM transmitters and receivers and 66 Auditory trainers in June 2018, which have been of great benefit to its recipient.
